Does prolong use of quinine sulfate cause blood Disorders? Used over 15 years?

Platelette count ranges from 43,000 to 67,000. Avg. of 50,000
Need back surgery. Physcians will not do surgery.
Could quinine sulfate cause spleen to enlarge? Possible ITP.

Well, I don’t know the answers to all those questions, but I know that Quinine is used for malaria attacks and my brother used it whenever he had an attack for years. I understand that there is now a cure for malaria (not sure, I only heard it once).
I don’t know what your condition is, or how your platelet count would relate to needing back surgery. If your doctor(s) won’t do it, I assume that they have determined that you don’t need it or it is contraindicated by your other condition(s).
Do you maybe just have some vertebrae out of place and need a Chiropractic adjustment? Have you had X-Rays or any tests to determine what your back problem is? I assume that if you have a kidney infection, the doctors would have found it.
Here is something I found on platelet count. This makes it sound as if yours is extremely low, unless you left out a zero. If it is truly that low compared to the normal range shown below, that sounds as if you may have a problem with your immune system.

Normal results. The normal range for a platelet count is 150000-450000 platelets per microliter of blood. Abnormal results. An abnormally low platelet level ……/common/standard/transform.jsp?requestURI=/healthatoz/Atoz/ency/platelet_count.jsp

For the enlarged spleen, here is what the Mayo Clinic shows:

Here is a site for the quinine sulfate usage. It sounds as if you have been taking it continuously for 15 years.
