Om not crazy I just have my Bipolar spells sometimes. The only thing I am worried about is my stress. I will stress over the smallest things *ex. last night I stayed up for hours trying to figure out how to ask my boss for a raise..
When I stress I feel my chest pumping, I get sick at my stomach and It wont go away. I do not want to be a zombie so I do not take any meds. I work all the time and I am still in school so I dont get home until like 10 at night so I have no time for yoga or anything like that…any suggestions
At the end of the day medications are just a band aid, most psychiatrists will recommend taking medication along side seeing a Psychologist or occupational therapist who can help you learn ways of Coping With Stress and calming yourself.
They’ll basically try to teach you how to slow down your breathing because that will slow down your heart rate which in turn will calm you down.
It actually does work if you give it a try.. it takes practice, but if you can learn to do it, it’s very helpful because when you go to stress out, you have the ability to calm yourself down.
and if you can calm yourself you can keep your thoughts rational, you can look at things with a level head and thus not stress about things unnecessarily.
Though personally I still prefer medication.
